Welcome to Managed Initiatives, the company I founded in 2004 to support banks with meeting prudential regulatory requirements, such as Basel III and CRD IV. My experience in the finance sector spans more than 25 years. Prior to forming Managed Initiatives, I was the principal banking and finance consultant for Consyse Limited, a company I co-founded in 1990. During that time I was responsible for leading many business and IT projects, including strategic reviews, change management initiatives and the implementation of complex financial systems.

Since forming Managed Initiatives, in addition to running numerous workshops on the different aspects of risk management frameworks, I have provided practical assistance to over 30 banks in preparing and reviewing their ICAAPs, ILAAPs, Recovery Plans and Risk Appetite Statements. I have personally co-authored 120 risk reports, including 57 ICAAP reports and 36 ILAAP reports.

This has involved briefing directors and senior managers on regulatory issues and implications, formulating implementation strategy, undertaking gap / impact / cost analyses, reviewing risk management processes, establishing methods for risk quantification and allocation of capital / liquidity resources, and agreeing risk assessment methods and procedures.
